The Department of Mechanical Engineering in SSET started in the year 2001. The Department is equipped with state of the art facilities like 3D printer, 3D scanner and flexible manufacturing systems, CNC Lathe, CNC Milling Machine etc. It also has advanced licensed software packages like Creo, CATIA, SIMULIA, DELMIA, AUTO CAD etc. In order to facilitate the expression of creativity and talent, the department has its own association which serves as a forum for the students and faculties to interact with the real time industrial situations. Training Programs for faculties, research scholars and industrial professionals is one of the highlighted event of department.

The department is pleased to inform that a 3 day training programme on “Numerical Methods and Computing Techniques for Modern Engineering” will be conducted from February 6th to 8th 2019 at our campus. The training programme will include both lectures and workshops. The training programme will cover:

Day 1: Introduction to numerical methods and techniques, hands-on training on Ansys Workbench.

Day 2: Introduction to FEM with focus on application, CFD using Ansys ICEM and Ansys Fluent.

Day 3: Introduction to Finite Volume and Finite Difference method, Advanced Simulation using UDF.
