National Student Conference on Trends in Computing (NSCTC)- Real World Applications of Machine Learning

SCMS School of Technology and Management (SSTM), located in Cochin, Kerala, is a distinguished self-financing institution affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam. Founded in 2003 by Dr. G.P.C Nayar, a renowned educationalist, SSTM, accredited by NAAC with A+ (3.44 Score), was established under the umbrella of the Prathap Foundation for Education and Training. Since then, it has been an integral part of the esteemed SCMS Group of Institutions. SCMS School of Technology and Management (SSTM) is organizing a National Student Conference on Trends in Computing (NSCTC) – Real World Applications of Machine Learning on 23 April, 2024, focusing on the transformative role of machine learning in addressing real-world challenges. The conference aims to foster knowledge exchange, skill development, and interdisciplinary collaboration among students interested in the intersection of computing and machine learning. This conference provides a unique platform for student researchers to explore the latest trends, share insights, and collaborate on innovative solutions in the field of computing.

The conference is open to undergraduate and graduate students from academic backgrounds including Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, and social sciences. Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain insights from keynote speeches and panel discussions.
  • Showcase their research findings, projects, and innovative ideas related to solving real-world problems using machine learning techniques.
  • Network with peers to explore career opportunities and potential collaborations.

As part of the conference, we are inviting research papers on topics related to Machine Learning.

Guidelines for Paper Submission

The research papers must be original and unpublished. Published work is excluded from the Contest. Any paper subsequently published should mention an acknowledgment of the received award.

  • The official language for paper writing and presenting is English.
  • Only Student research papers will be accepted. It may be co-authored by their faculty guides.
  • The work need not be original in engineering content but should be original in treatment and concise in coverage of the author’s contribution to the subject.
  • The paper must be typewritten on A4 size paper (210 mm × 297 mm), with the text width equal to 183 mm and the text height equal to 243.5 mm; a font size of 10 pt or larger should be used. The two-column IEEE Transactions style (with the space between columns equal to 4.1 mm) is required.
  • The paper should not exceed six (6) pages. Over-length papers will not be considered for the contest.
  • Papers may be mailed to nsctc@scmsgroup.org.

Deadline for submission:              10th April, 2024

Notification of review results:      12th April, 2024

Conference registration deadline: 20th April, 2024
