SCMS School of International Studies

About SCMS School of International Studies (SSIS)

SSIS was set up in 1998 by the Prathap Foundation for Education and Training , to widen its knowledge base under which MOUs are established with various International Universities to include their course structure and teaching methods so that students have access to ‘best of both worlds’ in several senses. SCMS was one among the few private institutions in India to establish academic tie-up with top foreign Universities for teaching, curriculum development and faculty and student exchange as early as 2000, starting with University of Canberra. SSIS now has tieups with 28 Universities across the world. SCMS is also part of IS:link (Information Systems Student Exchange Network) , an international cooperation program of universities across to give students of information systems the opportunity to spend a semester abroad.

The first such course offered was Master of Marketing Communication by the University of Canberra at SCMS campus. Students had the option of going to Australia for the 2nd year of studies. The Universities with which SCMS Group has MOUs currently, are listed here. Faculty from these Universities visit SCMS Cochin and teach full courses. Students also come and attend one or two semesters. SCMS faculty and students also reciprocate the arrangement.
