About the Institute

SCMS Centre for Socio-Economic Research(SCENSER) is an initiative which came out of the thrust which SCMS gives for research on topics having high Socio-Economic relevance in the Society. It started its operations in the year 2003 and has a separate Head, ably assisted by a team of experienced researchers and trainers. The centre undertakes research studies, market surveys, feasibility studies, management consultancy and human resource development and training in India and abroad.

Some of the Management Development Programmes held recently were for State Bank of India, Kerala State Financial Enterprises, Carborandum Universal, MILMA, Coconut Development Board, India Post, Allianz Cornhill, Indian Oil Dealers and for Managers of Retail Outlets. Some of the training programmes under planning are for ONGC Executives, HPCL Dealers etc. National Skill Development in Retails and Stores Operations are also under consideration by Kudumbashree, a State Mission Programme.
