Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP) Cell
The Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP) Cell in colleges aims to enhance students’ employability by offering training in various skills beyond their regular curriculum. These skills may include communication skills, IT skills, soft skills, entrepreneurship, and industry-specific competencies. ASAP Cells often collaborate with industry partners to design programs that align with current market demands, thus increasing students’ chances of securing employment or becoming entrepreneurs after graduation.
The ASAP Cell at SCMS Polytechnic organizes various training programs for different branches of engineering. These training programs include solar PV technology, LED manufacturing technology, automotive sensors, etc. Additionally, the ASAP Cell can provide internship programs for first and second-year students in various industries. Placement-oriented activities, such as the 15-hour Work Readiness Programme, are also organized in association with the college’s Placement Cell.
