SCMS SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, KARUKUTTY DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING WRITE UP ON “CAREER GUIDANCE – OPPORTUNITIES IN ENGINEERING”

The EEE Department of SSET organized an online webinar on “Career Guidance – Opportunities in Engineering“ on August 7, 2020 using Google Meet platform at 2 p.m. A group of alumni members of the department were resource persons. The participants were Plus-2 students who are seeking admission to B.Tech courses. Around 50 student aspirants participated in the webinar. The resource persons who led various webinar sessions are:

Mr Anish Gopalakrishnan spoke specifically on core job areas in electrical engineering and described its scope in private and public sectors.

Mr. Sreekanth Suresh explained various career opportunities available for electrical engineering graduates in various Central Government sectors like power, energy and Defence.

Mrs. VINEETHA RAVEENDRAN (ALUMNI 2009)

Mrs.Vineetha Raveendran shared her research experience in machine learning and power quality issues, apart from giving an overview of inter-disciplinary opportunities available for electrical engineers at the international level.
The webinar was highly interactive. The speakers shared fond memories of their SSET life and the dearth of experience they had gained from the institution. They spoke about their area of specialization and gave valuable suggestions on career opportunities. The participants cleared their doubts regarding course selection after Plus Two. The webinar lasted till 4 p.m.
