SCMS School of Engineering & Technology

Founded in 1999, the National Platform for Technology Enhanced Learningis an Indian national initiative co-ordinated by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras with partners from other IITs and the Indian Institute of Science, in Bangalore. The programme is funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, and is geared towards providing detailed course content, free of charge, to academic institutions and individuals in all branches of engineering, science, technology, management and humanities subjects which form a part of higher education.

The operational objective of NPTEL is to make high quality learning material available to students of engineering institutions across the country by exploiting the advances in information and communication technology.

OBJECTIVES OF SSET LOCAL CHAPTER

The local chapter of SSET (LC Id: 1813) was formed in February 2018 with the following objectives

1. To promote self-learning among faculty and students to attain self-sufficiency in education
2. To get access to the course and course materials designed and developed by the best faculty in the field
3. To encourage learners to pursue a course of their personal choice that is beneficial to the individuals as well as the society
4. To be certified by the premier institutions of the country that benefits the learners in terms of academics as well as career.
