Students acquire understanding of the function of chemistry in a range of engineering fields, from materials science to environmental engineering, through a combination of experiments and analysis.<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Acquiring the ability to standardize different solutions, estimating the quantity of substance in a given solution, and measuring hardness of water.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To provide an understanding in the methods of preparation of some industrially important polymers and to develop skills in the proper handling of apparatus and chemicals.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the interpretation and understanding of IR and NMR spectra and for the determination of structure of molecules using these techniques.
