Dr. Nayar who held top management positions with leading global corporate houses, wished to impart quality education at affordable costs to striving youngsters in India. The dream came true the same year with the establishment of the humble management institution \u2013 the School of Communication and Management Studies (SCMS).<\/p>

Sharp focus on quality education soon gave an edge to the institution. SCMS grew to become a center of excellence for management and communication studies in a very short span of time. Mr. Pramod P. Thevannoor is the Executive Chairman, Prathap Foundation for Education and Training. He joined the Group in 1993 and now looks after complete administration and international relations, which includes academic tie-up with several top class Universities spread over South East Asia, South Asia, Europe, UK and USA. He is also in charge of liaison with business corporations in India and abroad and ensures some of the top companies cooperate with us in the applied aspects of academic development of the Group. He was also the guiding force and inspiration behind SCMS School of Architecture, SCMS Water Institute, SCMS Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology Research and Development, and projects like the now-famous Neera, biofuel from coconut oil, the anti diabetic tea powder \u2018Stevia Tea\u2019 and a host of other ventures. The research and development of these products were inspired and initiated by him.
