These hovercrafts were required to traverse various mediums to deliver lifesaving aid to those in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Competition Objective<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The primary goal of the IAM 3D Design Presentation Competition was to design a 3D printed hovercraft capable of picking up and carrying a payload through a ground course and delivering it accurately to its destination. This task aimed to test the participants&#8217; creativity, Engineering skills, and ability to solve real-world problems using additive manufacturing technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Event Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ASME EFx &amp; AM 3D Aero 2022 event was a comprehensive 2-day experience, featuring:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Day 1:<\/strong> Seminars on various topics related to additive manufacturing and its applications in modern engineering.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Day 2:<\/strong> The IAM 3D Design Presentation Competition, where participants designed and modelled a 3D printed hovercraft.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Participants<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Harikrishnan T P<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pisharody Abhay Haridas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>R Ashwin Krishna<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Abhishek Damodar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avinash TG<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The ASME EFx &amp; AM 3D Aero 2022 event was a successful and enriching experience, providing participants with valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in the field of additive manufacturing.
