An awareness programme on ‘Health and Breast Cancer’ was organized by MCA Department of SCMS School of Technology and Management in collaboration with Amrita Institute of Medical Science on March 17th, 2018, at Little Flower Auditorium, Aluva. The programme was attended by 40 members including Ward member Sri.K Jayaprakash, Kudambasree members and women from neighboring areas.

Dr. Lipi Madhusoodanan addressed the gathering about the causes, symptoms, early detection and treatment procedures and how to move forward.

Dr.Fathima Mary Cross, Associate Prof, SSTM delivered an experiential talk on how to face cancer with will power and confidence.

The programme ended on a good note when the students of IMCA performed a skit to educate the audience against the general myths about cancer and how a support and love from closed ones help a person to overcome the same.
