Integrated MCA

SSTM offers a five year (ten semesters) Integrated MCA(IMCA) programme. The institution is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The Programmes lay special emphasis on (i) cultivating programming, logic and software skills of very high quality, (ii) imparting hands-on knowledge on computer software, and (iii) developing oral and written communication skills together with fluency in English, and team building and leadership qualities. Students are encouraged to take up a mini project each semester besides the main project in the final semester, as part of their all-round academic training

SSTM faculty collaborate with experts from industry in organizing instructional programmes to students in the use of JAVA, DOTNET, PYTHON, PHP, Operating Systems such as ANDROID, AIX, UNIX, LINUX and RDMS like ORACLE and DB2. Experienced hands from industry pay periodical visits to the institution and share their state-of-the-art knowledge with the students and faculty. Not only do they explain the latest trends but also impart motivational and leadership training to the students, enabling them to get placed

Two hours every week are allotted to the holistic development of the student , which focuses on personality development. Mock interviews, GD, extempore, motivational games and talent promotion exercises are among the items included in this programme

Modern Teaching Equipments

Lecture sessions are conducted with the help of modern teaching aids. The School is equipped with sufficient number of LCD projectors, educational audio and video content and other gadgets that are essential for a modern academic institution

Library & online resources

The SSTM MCA Library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of CD-ROM, e-journals,books, Journals, magazines, encyclopedia, complete reference books etc. along with the text and reference books. Library subscribes to many of national and International Journals like Journal of Knowledge Management, IUP Journals of Information Technology etc

SSTM IT Centre

SSTM is equipped with a modern computer lab having the latest computers and multimedia systems. There are nearly 220 PCs inter-connected in a LAN for IMCA students. 100 MBpsLeased Line Internet connection is made available to the students providing a window to the world. The Computer Lab is also equipped with latest hardware and software with proper server room with powerful IBM servers running Windows, AIX and Linux Operating Systems with having full firewall, anti-virus and content keeper installations

Hostel facilities

SSTM also extends well-furnished hostel facilities to its students. Students should apply for the facility in advance. The Hostels have dedicated mess that offers quality food. The campus also has a captive cafeteria catering to the needs of the students

Student Recreational Facility

The college is equipped with sports and games facilities such as basketball court, volleyball court and a fully equipped gymnasium with a dedicated professional trainer. Kalaripayittu is imparted to students to enrich their self defence skills

Industry - Institution Interaction

To enrich the teaching system, we invite IT professionals to impart the latest industry technology trends in the dynamic software industry. Interface sessions are held periodically by inviting system analysts and technical experts from different ITES and Consulting firms. These lively sessions help familiarize students with the challenges they will face in real-time application development. The invited industry leaders also help build rapport with students making every session a rewarding experience for both.

Students are also given invaluable hands on experience in development of web apps for socially relevant projects. Frequent industrial visits help the students to acquaint themselves with the requirements of Networking and IT Infrastructure Models from the current perspective.

  • A candidate seeking admission to Integrated MCA course must have a pass with not less than 45% marks in 10+2 level with Physics and Mathematics in X standard along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational Subject/any stream in XII standard.
  • Subject to the regulation relating to prescribed minimum of the respective qualifying examination, the minimum marks of Admission to the Course of studies shall be 40% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category
  • Candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) referred to GO(P)208/66/Edn dated. 2-5-96 and subsequent amendments to order issued by the Government shall be given a relaxation of 3% marks in the prescribed minimum for admission and 5% for OEC.
  • A relaxation of 5% marks from the prescribed minimum shall be allowed in the case of physically handicapped persons
  • Reservation of seats shall be as per rules prescribed in the relevant rules by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Kerala / MG University.

Rules & Regulations

IDENTITY CARD : All registered students are eligible for identity card and it is issued on payment of Rs. 500/- in the first instance. The ID card needs to be surrendered at the end of the course to be eligible for refund of caution deposit.

REFUND POLICY: As per the AICTE regulation on fee refund those who withdraw or cancel admission after the commencement of the programme and the seat remaining vacant, will have to pay the balance tuition fee of the programme.

ATTENDANCE: No student shall be allowed to appear for the university examination of a course if he/she has not secured 75 % of attendance for the semester. They will have to repeat the semester later.


  • We believe that Discipline is the most important feature of a professional institution and all students are expected to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations of the institution as announced from time to time. The Manual of Policies also should be strictly adhered to.
  • Students are to strictly follow the dress code prescribed for them – formals with shoes on. Male students have to daily shave and will not be allowed to use any type of informal attire at the campus. Female students can come in Churidhars or Sarees only. All students should wear their identity cards inside the campus failing which they will be asked to leave the campus at the risk of loosing the days' attendance.
  • Use of mobile phones inside the campus, is banned. The Office will confiscate the mobile phone if found to be in “ON” mode inside the Campus.


A document detailing the conduct of course, academic work , the discipline , rules of availing leave etc. will be made available to the students within fifteen days from the commencement of first year classes.

LEGAL JURISDICTION : Jurisdiction for legal disputes on any matter detailed in this prospectus or related to the Institution will be limited to courts in Ernakulam, where the institution is established and the cause of action took place.


Ragging in any form is a serious crime under the Indian Laws. Any case of ragging or other released offence will be reported to the police for taking appropriate action. They will also be summarily dismissed from the college.
