With an impressive educational background, he obtained his B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India, in 1982. Continuing his academic pursuits, he pursued his MS in Engineering Science with a specialization in Chemical Engineering at the University of California, San Diego, California, in 1983.
