'Research Associate' required for a Study for Kerala State Planning Board

TEMPORARY POSITION OF ‘RESEARCH ASSOCIATE’ IN A FUNDED PROJECT

SCMS Cochin school of Business invites applications from eligible candidates possessing prescribed qualifications for the below mentioned position on temporary basis for an Evaluation Study supported by Kerala State Planning Board.

Duration of contract Six Months
Location  Kochi (Should be ready to travel all over Kerala)
Reports to Principal Investigator
Works with Field team and Lead Researchers in the evaluation study

Qualification
  • Masters in Social Sciences, desirably with MPhil/Ph.D.
  • Prior experience in Survey Research is mandatory.
  • The candidate should be well versed in excel and SPSS. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conceptualize, analyze, and document is required.
  • Knowledge in Social Insurance is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of an extensive literature review for the study
  • Development of a suitable data collection instrument
  • Preparation of instruction manual for the field investigators
  • Imparting training to the field investigators at various districts
  • Overseeing the work of Research Assistant and Field Investigators in order to ensure process quality by accompanying them during field visits
  • Leading the efforts to gather, consolidate, analyse and disseminate information and evidence from primary and secondary resources
  • Cleaning and tabulation of data
  • Assistance to the lead researchers in analysis and report writing
  • Undertake any other relevant assignment as directed by the lead researchers
