Green audit is the process of assessing the environmental impact of an organization, process, project, product etc. Green audit can be defined as a basic management tool comprising a systematic, documented, periodic and objective evaluation of how well environmental organisations, management systems and equipment are performing. The aim of the audit is to facilitate management control of environmental practices and to enable the organization to assess compliance with its policies including meeting regulatory requirements.SWI conducted a green audit for Union Christian College, Aluva  in 2017 as per the request from the college management. Based on the findings various recommendations were given to the institute for energy saving, water conservation and solid waste management.
