Abatement of Pollution of Rivers in Kerala – Kadambrayar and Kecheri

The serene rivers of Kerala, crisscrossing its lush landscapes, are the lifeblood of the state. Guided by the directives of the National Green Tribunal, Kerala’s Water Resources Department set forth on an ambitious mission: devising detailed action plans to cleanse and preserve 21 of these majestic waterways.

In this watershed initiative, the SCMS School of Engineering and Technology (SSET) was entrusted with the significant task of shaping the future for two of these rivers: the Keecheri and the Kadambrayar. Taking up the mantle, the SCMS Water Institute (SWI) partnered with the Civil Engineering Department of SSET, pooling their expertise to craft an exhaustive study. Together, we’re not just drafting reports – we’re charting the course for healthier rivers and a greener Kerala.
