“Technological Innovations to Solve Water Crisis”; Sponsored by Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment, May 12th, 2017

A one day technical talk was conducted on the theme ‘Technological Innovations to Solve Water Crisis’ at SSET in association with SWI. The program was inaugurated by the Principal of SSET, Prof. M. Madhavan in the presence of Dr. Sunny George, Director, Water Institute; Dr. P.S. Harikumar Senior Principal Scientist, Water Quality Division, CWRDM, Kozhikode and Dr. Shaju Thomas Head, Division of Environmental Education and Conservation Tropical Institute of Ecological Sciences (TIES), Kottayam. Students of B.Tech, M.Tech and SSET faculty attended the session. Dr. P.S. Harikumar delivered a lecture on ‘Sustainable water resources management techniques with case studies’ and Dr. Shaju Thomas delivered a lecture on ‘Importance of water resources management with examples’ followed by an interactive session for the doubt clearances. Both the sessions were very informative for the participants.
