Value Added Course on Liquid Waste Management Under SBM 2.0

A five-day value added course was organized by Water, Sanitation And Hygiene Institute (WASH Institute) for B.Tech final year students and M.tech Environmental Engineering students of CivilEngineering department of SSET during May 23rd to 27 of 2022. They addressed topics like sanitation, onsite sanitation systems, decentralized wastewater management, city sanitation planning – SBM2.0 framework, grey water management, fs treatment technologies, resource recovery from wastewater and faecal sludge, and gender-inclusive sanitation. They have given group activities to students based on the topic – Regulation in Non Sewered Sanitation; and the students presented their ideas through charts and dramas. On the last day, they had a Demonstration of the Mobile Treatment Unit and exposure to E-modules was also given.
