Workshop on advances in biomonitoring (in collaboration with Indo-German Centre for Sustainability, IIT Madras), May 2-4, 2016

IIT Madras in association with Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, Indo-German Centre for Sustainability and SCMS Water Institute conducted a workshop on advances in biomonitoring and a demonstration of automated biomonitor (Multispecies Freshwater Biomonitor, MFB developed by LimCo International, GmbH, Germany) at IIT Madras on May 2 – 4, 2016. Participants from various sections like students/faculty, scientists, technicians were attended the workshop. Professors from IIT Madras, RWTH Aachen University Germany, IGCS, SWI, Experts from Tamil Nadu PCB, CIBA and M.Tech Environmental Engineering students of SSET were the resource person for the same.The aim of this workshop was to train people in various fields like aquaculture, water works, water and wastewater treatment plants, waste disposals, drinking/bottled water industries, solid sludge waste management and river protection agency; all over India.
