“Workshop on sustainable development of ground water resources (in collaboration with CGWB, Kerala Region), May 25-29, 2015

SCMS Water Institute in association with Central Ground Water Board conducted a five day training programme on Sustainable Development and Management of Ground Water in our main campus on May 25-29, 2015. M.Tech Environmental engineering students of SSET, officials from irrigation department and academicians from various institutions participated in the workshop. Scientists from Central Ground Water Board Kerala region, Trivandrum, officials from state ground water board were the resource persons. Lectures on topics : issues of Ground water management in Kerala, occurrence and movement of ground water, role of geophysics in groundwater exploration, role of climate change and global warming in ground water where taught in the workshop.
