At SCMS School of Architecture, we inaugurated our Onam celebration, ‘Thimirthonam,’ with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the commencement of the festivities and the spread of light and joy. Following the lamp lighting ceremony, our students presented a captivating Thiruvathira dance performance as the next highlight continued with an exhilarating Chenda Melam performance, filling the campus with rhythmic beats and traditional fervor. Students enthusiastically participated in a variety of traditional competitions, including Uriyadi, Chakkil Ottam, Pillow Fight, and Tug of War, adding an element of friendly competition and camaraderie to the festivities. We concluded our ‘Thimirthonam’ celebration on a grand note with a spectacular Kalashakottu, symbolizing the harmonious and traditional closure of the festivities.
