As part of NASA, the students of SSA organized Koode, an event that aimed to nurture empathy, gratitude, and a sense of community among the young minds. The visit was to Sukarma Vikasa Kendra, Parakadavu, a home for mentally challenged boys.
Together, they created a collaborative craft activity — an origami canvas. The students guided the boys in making origami butterflies and birds, which were later assembled into a beautiful canvas and gifted back to them. In association with UNAI (United Nations Academic Impact), an activity was conducted where the mentally challenged students, with the assistance of our students, made postcards and write-ups for their parents. Koode was more than just an event — it was a heartfelt journey of compassion, inclusion, and humanity, reminding us of the joy of giving back and belonging to a larger community.
