The first edition of annual sports event of SSA titled Malhar 2023 was held on 6th and 7th of January 2023. The four houses, Samurai, Chekavar, Māori and Spartans competed in single and team events to win the coveted championship trophy. Event kicked off with the handing over of the college flag by the Group Director, Dr. Baiju Radhakrishnan to the Sports secretary, Mr. Richu Benjamin. This was followed by a day of athletic events and the much-awaited football and basketball matches. Day two started with volleyball matches followed by chess, carroms, table tennis and badminton matches. The finale included the victory ceremony where medals were distributed to the winners including the Overall individual champions and runners up male and female. Event concluded with Māori house emerging as the champions followed by runners up Chekavar house.
