Dr. Nikhil Joshi from the National University of Singapore (NUS) visited SCMS School of Architecture (SSA) on 2nd December 2025 as part of the NUS MAArC outreach program. During the visit, he delivered an insightful presentation titled “Constructive Conservation”, highlighting contemporary approaches to heritage conservation that balance preservation with adaptive reuse and sustainable development.
The session was followed by an engaging interaction with students and faculty, where Dr. Joshi shared academic and professional perspectives, discussed global conservation practices, and encouraged critical thinking on the role of architects in safeguarding cultural heritage. The visit provided valuable international exposure and enriched the academic environment through knowledge exchange and dialogue.
