S4 STUDY TOUR
A 5-day long study tour was held for the Semester 4 students from 19th to 23rd July 2022, as a part of their academic curriculum. The study trip to Thanjavur and Tiruchirappalli was conducted to nourish the culture of our history in the hearts of students and faculty members, to remind how great and mesmerizing the Dravidian and Gothic Architecture was. The students also visited Kodaikanal, the Queen of Hills, which was where the Site for the S4 major project was located.
A study on Dravidian architecture was carried out in Shri Airavatesvara Temple and Brihadeeswara Temple which was a part of the Great Living Chola Temples and the Sri Ranganathaswamy temple, a Dravidian Architectural temple with colors, at Tiruchirappalli. Our Lady of Lourdes Church was visited to study the characteristics of Gothic Architecture.
