Admission Procedure
- Applicants should have the equivalent of a U.S. Bachelor’s Degree. Those who do not have a 4-year Indian Degree must submit a Certificate of Completion of Pre-MBA Coursework consisting of at least 30 credit hours to be completed at SCMS.
- Applicants should have earned a minimum 3.0 undergraduate grade point average on a scale of 4.0. Applicants with an undergraduate overall GPA under 3.0 must have three years of professional work experience. In the absence of the requisite work experience, they are required to submit a Certificate of Completion of Pre-MBA Coursework consisting of at least 30 credit hours to be completed at SCMS.
- Applicants should have a satisfactory score in English Language Proficiency – TOEFL iBT equal to 79 (550 paper-based) or above, or IELTS equal to 6.5 or above or Duolingo test scores of at least 105.
- Applicants should demonstrate leadership potential through work experience, community service, research projects, extracurricular activities, or other acceptable means.
- Meritorious candidates who do not meet the above standards will be interviewed and evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

- Book a slot and attend Personal Interview at SCMS Muttom Campus.
- Selection will be based on the merits of the application and the performance in the interview.
Courses Structure and Instruction Approach
The 33 credit hours program will be offered as follows:
As the course structures of both institutions are well aligned, the 1st year MBA classes of 14 credits will be conducted at SCMS, Muttom campus by SCMS faculty empanelled by NKU, USA. The 2nd year MBA classes of 19 credits will be conducted at NKU, USA campus.
- SCMS AACSB qualified faculty will teach seven MBA courses (14 credit hours) at the SCMS campus in Kerala, India. NKU will credential SCMS faculty teaching in this program.
- NKU will make the appropriate MBA course syllabus available to SCMS faculty, who will teach the seven MBA courses (14 credit hours).
- NKU faculty members will teach 19 credit hours at NKU's campus (Highland Heights, KY).
- The overall program will take 18-24 months to complete.
- Candidates who do not have a 4-year Indian degree must go through a Pre-MBA coursework consisting of at least 30 credit hours to be offered by SCMS.
- Specialization courses offered by NKU faculty on Supply Chain, Marketing, Analytics and Finance.

Northern Kentucky University (NKU) is a public university located in Highland Heights, Kentucky, USA, just 7 miles from Cincinnati, Ohio. Established in 1968, NKU is a regionally accredited, state-funded university known for its strong focus on experiential learning, industry collaboration, and business education. NKU is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a prestigious accreditation held by less than 6% of business schools worldwide.
To be eligible, candidates must have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 75% marks in aggregate.
- A valid English language proficiency score from TOEFL (minimum 79 / 550 paper-based) or IELTS (minimum 6.5).
- Students who have completed a 4-year undergraduate degree with 75% marks do not need to take the bridge course.
- Students with a 3-year undergraduate degree and less than 75% marks must complete a 30-credit bridge course (offered by SCMS at no additional cost) to meet the eligibility requirement.
The MBA is a two-year program. The first-year classes (14 credits) are conducted at SCMS, and students have the option to complete their second year (19 credits) at NKU, USA.
A minimum of 33 credits and a CGPA of 3.0 are required to graduate from the course.
The program is divided into four levels:
- Level 1 – Basic and allied courses to familiarize students with management concepts.
- Level 2 – Foundation-level courses with introductory graduate management subjects.
- Level 3 – Specialization courses conducted by NKU and SCMS faculty.
- Level 4 – Core MBA courses covering key areas of management, including the MBA Practicum.
