Eligibility Criteria for Faculty Positions at SCMS
The basic eligibility requirements for faculty positions in SCMS are the same as outlined by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Here’s a summary of the general criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- A Master’s degree in a relevant subject with at least 60% marks (or an equivalent grade).
- The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) . A Ph.D. degree is preferred.
Educational Qualification:
- A Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline. A Master’s degree with at least 60% marks.
Experience:
- A minimum of eight years of teaching or research experience in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor.
- Evidence of published research work and a minimum of seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
Educational Qualification:
A Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline. A Master’s degree with at least 60% marks.
Experience:
- A minimum of ten years of teaching or research experience in an academic/research position.
- Significant contributions in research, with at least ten publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
- Proven academic leadership and recognition in the field of study.
Other Considerations
For Professional Courses (like Management, Computer Applications etc.): Industry experience is considered equivalent to academic experience.
Additional Criteria:
- Proficiency in teaching techniques and the use of ICT tools.
- 2 rounds of Personal Interviews are held to assess soft skills, teaching ability, and contributions to institutional development during the selection process.
