IAM 3D Design Presentation Competition at EFx AM 3D Aero Event
The IAM 3D Design Presentation Competition took place at the EFx AM 3D Aero event held at Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, Karnataka from December 7th to 8th 2022, challenging students to design an unmanned emergency resupply hovercraft using additive manufacturing. These hovercrafts were required to traverse various mediums to deliver lifesaving aid to those in need.
Competition Objective
The primary goal of the IAM 3D Design Presentation Competition was to design a 3D printed hovercraft capable of picking up and carrying a payload through a ground course and delivering it accurately to its destination. This task aimed to test the participants’ creativity, Engineering skills, and ability to solve real-world problems using additive manufacturing technologies.

- Day 1: Seminars on various topics related to additive manufacturing and its applications in modern engineering.
- Day 2: The IAM 3D Design Presentation Competition, where participants designed and modelled a 3D printed hovercraft.
