Capacity:
The plant treats 100 KLD (1 lakh litres) of wastewater daily.
Sources Of Wastewater:
Wastewater is generated from the canteen, academic blocks, and hostels.
Treatment Process:
- Biological treatment using an upflow anaerobic filter unit.
- Aerobic Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR).
- Disinfection and filtration through a sand filter.
- Further filtration using an activated carbon filter to meet the standards set by the State pollution control board.
Reuse: The treated wastewater is utilized for irrigating rubber plantations and landscaping gardens on the campus.
