- Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Award (March 2018) - Awarded to SCMS School of Engineering Technology for the project "Brain Wave Nerve Excitation for Physically Disabled."
- 1st Place at AICTE-ECI Chhatra Vishwakarma Awards in Electronics (2017) - Won by SCMS School of Engineering Technology for the project "A De-Addiction Coil For Drug Addicts" at IIT Delhi.
- 'Sastrayaan 2018' Award - Awarded to SCMS Engineering College at CUSAT for the project "Muscle to Machine Interface for Paralyzed Person (MMIPP) Ver.2."
- Cash Awards for Students (2017) - Students from SSET's 5th & 8th Semester received cash awards for projects presented at the Third Dialogue India Academia Conclave (IIT, Delhi). The projects were: Shopping Assistance for Blind, Automated Guidance Cart for Physically Disabled Person Using Brain Signal, Life Detection and Rescue System Using Snake Robot, and Vehicle Load Monitoring System.
- ICTAK Award College of the Year 2016 - Awarded to SCMS School of Engineering Technology at the ICT Academy of Kerala Annual Summit for outstanding contribution in academic interface programs.
- International Recognition by IEEE - Faculty received recognition for the project "Muscle machine interface for paralyzed people" from USA headquartered IEEE.
- Certification of Appreciation (2016) - Awarded to SCMS School of Engineering Technology for outstanding contribution in Rollout of Infosys campus connect Foundation program for the year 2015.
- Trophy for Best Overall Performance in NSS - NSS Unit awarded the trophy for the best overall performance in the National Service Scheme State valedictory camp (2014).
- Guinness World Record - SCMS broke the Guinness World Record by having 1111 students blow out candles simultaneously as a part of the mega fest IGNIZ-2013.
- Advanced Partner Status - SSET awarded Advanced Partner status for outstanding Infosys Campus connect activities during 2011-2012.
- ICI Trophy - SSET won the Indian Concrete Institute Kochi Centre's concrete cube strength competition.
- Infosys Inspire Trophy - SSET won the Infosys Inspire Trophy at the Infosys Campus Connect Competition conducted at Trivandrum DC.
