SCMS Water Institute, SSET was requested by Forest Department to provide training for their staff on watershed management, water conservation, how to create perennial drinking water sources for animals in the deep forests, creation of decentralized water sources inside the forests to be used as a reserve against forest fire etc. Around 50 staff from all Forest Divisions of central Kerala participated in the training on 13th of May-17, at Forest Lecture Hall, Vazhachal. Participants from various ranks including Range officers, Dy Rangers, Foresters and Forest Guards attended the training.
