We are thrilled to announce that SCMS Water Institute has been honored with the prestigious 25th Bhoomi Mithra Award by the Association for Environmental Protection, Aluva. This recognition, awarded by a selection committee chaired by Dr. G Madhu, Emeritus Professor of Cochin University, celebrates our exceptional efforts in addressing water-related environmental issues with innovative and sustainable solutions. 

Formed in 2010, SCMS Water Institute has been a pivotal force in environmental stewardship in Kerala, collaborating with local self-governments, Kerala Water Authority, and various institutions to create a lasting impact. It was highlighted during the award function that other engineering colleges in Kerala should consider SCMS as a role model.

The award was presented on June 5th, World Environment Day, by Dr. Baby Kurian IAS at St. Xavier’s College Auditorium, Aluva. This honor not only recognizes our past achievements but also inspires other institutions to engage in exemplary water related environmental activities.
