Onam Celebration 2017
- Description: Onam is the most significant festival in Kerala, celebrated as a harvest festival by all communities. The legend behind the festival is to welcome the spirit of King Mahabali, who is believed to visit Kerala during Onam.
- Campus Celebration: Onam was celebrated at the campus on August 31. The festivities included:
- Setting up a floral decoration (pookkalam) at the foyer.
- Various competitions such as pookkalam, onappattu, thiruvathira kali, vadamvali, banana eating, and uriyadi.
- A special program titled ‘Udan Panam’ from the Mazhavil Manorama TV Channel was also a highlight of the Onam Celebration.
Dr. PPTIA - 2017 Kalavrindh
- Description: The Dr. Pradeep P. Thevannoor Innovation Awards (PPTIA) were instituted in 2015 by the SCMS School of Engineering and Technology in Kerala, India. This global event is held annually to identify, recognize, and celebrate innovative ideas and applications that address societal challenges.
- Event: A cultural evening named “Kalavrindh” was held in connection with the Dr. Pradeep P Thevannoor Innovation Awards in 2017
IGNIZ Launch
- Description: IGNIZ is a techno-cultural fest organized at the SCMS School of Engineering & Technology campus.
- Event Details: The official launch of IGNIZ 2018 took place in March 2018, and the main event was held on April 6 and 7.
IGNIZ 2018
- Description: IGNIZ is described as a biennial national level techno-cultural extravaganza.
- Event Details: The 2018 version of IGNIZ took place on April 6th and 7th at the SCMS School of Engineering & Technology campus. The event was marked with increased enthusiasm and saw participation from students across various parts of the nation.
IGNIZ 2018
- Winner: Athira V. J.
- Achievement: Athira V. J. secured the first prize in the National Level Inter College Technical and Cultural Festival under the ‘Voice of Brahma’ category.
- Organizer: The event was organized by the Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Ascendio 3.0
- Description: Ascendio 3.0 is a national level annual technical and cultural fest.
- Organizer: The fest is conducted by IEEE SSET SB.
