Library Advisory / Management Committee
To ensure that the library effectively supports the evolving academic and research needs of students and faculty, the institution has constituted a Library Advisory / Management Committee. The Committee functions as a strategic body to guide the development, modernization, and effective utilization of library resources and services.
The key responsibilities of the Committee include:
Policy Formulation:
Framing and reviewing library policies, including rules and regulations, collection development, procurement procedures, and management of digital resources.
Budget Planning:
Reviewing and recommending the annual library budget, covering books, journals, databases, and other electronic resources.
Infrastructure Development:
Suggesting measures for the improvement and modernization of both physical facilities and digital infrastructure of the Learning Resource Centre.
Quality Assurance:
Ensuring that library services and resources align with the standards and requirements of accreditation and regulatory bodies such as NAAC and NBA.
Composition of the Committee:
The Committee is chaired by the Principal. The Deputy Dean (Research) and all Heads of Departments serve as members. The Librarian functions as the Member Secretary, coordinating the activities and implementation of the Committee’s recommendations.
